Choosing midwifery care means you are choosing a distinct style of maternity care. Your decision to work with a midwife should be an informed decision. We believe that the best midwifery care happens when women and their families make informed decisions and develop a comfortable and co-operative relationship with a small group of midwives.

Our emphasis is on the promotion of normal childbirth, the prevention of health problems and the recognition of pregnancy, birth and early parenting as normal healthy life events.

Remember: Midwifery in Ontario is a regulated health profession, and has been since the Regulated Health Professions Act of 1991.  There is NO DIRECT COST to midwifery consumers for care at home or in the hospital.
